One of the best and the hardest years so far…

The highs –

• Moving to Canada! The awesome people we’ve met here
• Baby boys! Two new arrivals – hello Cal and Baer ❤
• Turning 30 – house partaay to soften the blow
• Las Vegas! A week of chaos in Sin City
• Exploring yet more corners of the Highlands in our walking boots and in our wet suits
• All things horsey, including our first win in the showjumping ring, loads of fun hacks and joining the RC committee
• Another great year of teaching at THS, end-of-term celebrations with LS never disappoint!

The Lows

• Saying a heartbreaking goodbye to our Grandad Spence. His warmth and positive energy made him such fun to be around and I miss him beyond words. How lucky were we to get to call him Grandad?! Memories last a lifetime and I’m sure he’s with us here in the mountains.
• Wee Hamish also said farewell – St Magnus Road won’t be the same without him.
• Freya found a perfect new home, which made letting her go far easier. But watching her disappear down the A9 was tough.

 

So, definitely a year of ups and downs but most importantly we got to spend the majority of it with family and friends ❤
